referring to a 1980 paper that discusses programming languages.

Finally they go on to say that ``although most people now agree that the use
of high-level languages is desirable, the fact remains that many major
systems are still written in assembly language.'' And of course that's
still true today, although the syntax is worse and now it's an ANSI standard.
