Ran across this on HackerNews and it got me thinking how cool a Self phone would be:

Their actor system also sounds interesting (though I haven’t had a chance to look into it):

Were coroutines and actors ever implemented in Self?

ha! accidently ran thingLab on my phone a couple of days ago -
https://constraints.cs.washington.edu/thinglab/
doing it at a low level would be really cool but lots of effort; drawing a line (most likely just below the bytecodes) aggressively name-mangling, and then generating the plumb- obvious JS may get more done with less effort...

I'd say pretty much - in that Self always and threads (I can't remember the extent to which they're "Green" or "Red" or whatever todays terms are) - and dynamic inheritance would be great to do actor behaviour-swapping...
ahh, if only I had either students, or time (= money)
