[Self-interest] Suggestions for cross platform build?

It would be great to have a Nix build for linux, for ultimate 
reproducibility and futureproofing.  I'm not competent to do it myself, 
but I can post asking for help on the NixOS discourse if you like ... 
only then there might be questions about Self which I'm not competent to 
answer and one of you experts might have to answer.  Does that sound okay?
