[self-interest] beginner trying to run Self on Mac

The snaps shouldn’t need to be anywhere in particular and a stock MacOS should work, so something else is happening.

Is the Self Control app listing any of these worlds as running when you start them? If so it would be useful if you could select it, and choose the “Open Terminal” button, which should open a repl on the running world. If you could let me know if this works and what it says.

If not, could you run Self Control, choose the “Install VM at /usr/local/bin/Self” option (you may need to give it your password), then open a terminal, cd to the directory with your snapshots and try “Self -s morphic.snap” and let me know what happens?

If you are in the repl, _Quit should always get you out.

What MacOS version are you on?

Cheers Russell
