As others have noted, it's hard to follow the virtual machine's
sources.  It's also a little annoying getting the fonts to work
properly on Linux.

I wonder how much work it'll be to write something for Self like Bert
Freudenberg's SqueakJS.  Paired with Electron (node.js and a WebKit
extension), it might be relatively speedy, and certainly easier to run
on platforms like arm or 64-bit Intel.
