[self-interest] ARM?

Hi Thorsten,

I have been looking at setting up a Self VM project with some seed
money as well, on similar lines (ie limited money, hobby, no Dita von
Teese)

My perspective is that moving the VM to ARM is one very nice thing we
should do, but there are other smaller initial tasks that would be very
useful.

Klein is fascinating, but a big bang project. The danger is that if we
do nothing but Klein then we will have a period where our new VM is yet
to come, but our existing VM can't be compiled or used. And if we run
out of resources half way through we have nothing.

If we have a project to clean up the existing VM, this will attract
hopefully more interest and use and more resources...

The existing VM is big and scary, but works and is in a small set of
powerful cross platform VMs.

So although I would love a revamped Klein on Arm, I would also like an
upgraded and cleaned up C++ VM on Mac and Linux.

- Russell
