Probably best to try a live CD of 9.10 . I got the same keyboard problem when I ran 9.04 in virtualbox under 9.10, but not when I used a live CD of 9.04.

      Hi,
I've added this to the bugtracker at self.lighthouseapp. com
I'll try to set up a Ubuntu 9.10 image on VMware and see if I can replicate it.
Cheers,
Russell

I'm having a weird keyboard issue with Self on Ubuntu 9.10. The gui is behaving as if I am continually holding down ctrl (so v pastes, x cuts and so on). This affects Self 4.4 Alpha 2 and the latest git. Any ideas what's going on? This doesn't seem to affect 9.04.
