Hey,
I was thinking about starting work on a OpenGl based Canvas.
OpenGL might not be pretty but I think it is the lowest level we can get to without writing our own connection to the hardware with Klein  (Though I'd really love that :D).
It would help port Self to windows. And would allow us to make changes to the Canvas API and the way Self handles drawing without having to change half a dozen Canvases.
Additionally it would make Self more Self contained, duh....
So what do you think?
