self virtual vmware appliance

Hi,

I just downloaded the vmware image from 

http://www.gliebe.de/self/download.html

to play a bit with self.

I only have a notebook with 2 button mouse and cant get the middle
button work.

X11 seems to be configured to emulate a 3button mouse but pressing
both buttons (to emulate the third button) dosn't opens the middle
button menu.

Are there any hints to get the middle button menu?
