Well, the GPL is more restrictive than the BSD licence, isn't it? I'd be
very happy with a GPL release and, although it's a pretty unrestrictive
licence, it does seem to protect the writers from some of the rip-offs
performed on the BSD community (although whether they see them as
rip-offs is a moot point -- I for one wouldn't be too happy to see my
work snaffled by Microsoft without so much as an acknowledgement). I
suppose there is also some logic behind the idea that a Self for Intel
on Linux should go with the flow.
But I'd be happy just to see it in a form in which I could use it! (By
which time I should know enough of Learning Works and VW to have
something to compare it to).
