Support for native OS threads ?

No, sorry.

   (At the moment I am working with ParcPlace
    Smalltalk and I have about 250 Processes
    around. It would be nice, if they were
    on the level of the OS as opposed to the
    VM and bytecodes, as they are at the moment)

Presumably you have a multiprocessor that could exploit the
concurrency.  

It would be nice to put this into the Self VM, but it's not easy and I
can't imagine it happening anytime soon.
