Hi
I'm having a weird keyboard issue with Self on Ubuntu 9.10. The gui is behaving as if I am continually holding down ctrl (so v pastes, x cuts and so on). This affects Self 4.4 Alpha 2 and the latest git. Any ideas what's going on? This doesn't seem to affect 9.04.
Hi,
I've added this to the bugtracker at self.lighthouseapp.com
I'll try to set up a Ubuntu 9.10 image on VMware and see if I can replicate it.
Cheers,
Russell

Probably best to try a live CD of 9.10 . I got the same keyboard problem when I ran 9.04 in virtualbox under 9.10, but not when I used a live CD of 9.04.

Hi Liam,
I'm having a little bit of trouble replicating this. Can you maybe give me some more detail of your setup and what you're doing when the problem happens?
Cheers, Russell

Hi Russell
I think I've managed to sort it, thanks. I think it's some sort of GNOME keyboard bug. If I use KDE I have no problem, but if I then start gnome-keyboard-properties I get the problem again.
I tried an Ubuntu 9.10 live system and I didn't seem to get the problem, so it looks like there's something odd going on with my installed system.

Cool, no worries. I'll mark it as resolved for now, let me know if it reoccurs in a reproducible way.
